  • Structure of The OJT Program
The AME OJT program provides aircraft maintenance students with hands-on experience in a live aviation environment under the supervision of licensed engineers. Offered for 1-year or 2-year durations, the training takes place across leading facilities in Dubai International Airport (DXB), Dubai World Central (DWC), and Sharjah Airport (SHJ). Students participate in supervised line and base maintenance activities, gaining practical skills in inspection, troubleshooting, repairs, and documentation while maintaining a structured EASA Part-66 logbook with full support. Participants are placed on rotating shifts as per the MRO schedule, giving them real-world exposure to the demands of aircraft maintenance. An airport pass is provided for access to secure areas; however, candidates are required to have their own visa. Based on performance, requirements, and availability, students may also be considered for contractual job offers with the partner MRO organizations upon completion of the program. This OJT pathway is an essential step for aspiring aircraft engineers to meet licensing requirements and gain industry readiness, bridging the gap between classroom training and a professional aviation career.
